Deepam Scheme: The Andhra Pradesh state government has launched the Deepam scheme 2024. Under which eligible female residence of Andhra Pradesh will be given three complementary LPG cylinders annually as a Diwali gift.

Free cooking games cylinders will be given to eligible women from 31 October at the time of Diwali under the Deepam Scheme launched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Age beneficiary will get 3 free gas cylinder per year, helping families save money spent on gas. The initiative is part of the six promises made by the Telugu Desam party (TDP) during the election campaign.
Despite facing financial challenges, the government is committed to improving the lives families through welfare programs. Booking of cylinder will begin from October 24. The price of a domestic gas cylinder is currently Rs 876, which has come down to Rs 851 after the central government subsidy. The state will be the cost, spending Rs 2,684 crore each year, totaling Rs 13, 43 crore over five years. Beneficiaries can avail one free cylinder every four months, with the subsidy transferred directly to their bank accounts within two days.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- The female citizens must have attended the age of 18 years.
- They should not be any other LPG connection from any OMC in the same household.
- Adult women belonging to any of the following categories SC ST Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, most backward classes, antyodaya anna Yojana, tea and Ex-tea garden tribes, forest dwellers, pipal residing in Iceland and river Islands, and listed under secc households or any poor household as per 14 point declaration.

Deepam Scheme Apply Online
- Firstly you have to go to the official website of the Deepam scheme 2024.
- On the website homepage click on the Deepam Scheme connection option under the heading application processing.
- A processing window will now appear on your desktop screen.
- The female citizen must select pending among all the available options.
- A list of pending request will appear on your desktop screen female citizens must click on the application number.
